Super Simple Savings at Smith's!

How about an 85% savings???!!!  That's the kind of receipt that awaits you this week at Smith's (if you pay a little attention to what you buy).  I went in today with my low-value coupons in-hand and was excited to find many of the things I wanted.  Keep in mind that all of these deals (except the Hefty bags and toothbrushes) were made possible by coupons from my newspaper subscriptions.  However, the savings that I got just from this purchase would pay for TWO FULL SUBSCRIPTIONS for one year!!!  That's right--I saved almost $40!  My grand total was just over $8!  So pull out those low-value coupons and get to Smith's!  Let us know what you find--send pics--I'd love to post your deals! 

Smith's Will Be "Rounding Up" Coupons Again Aug. 25-31!

Did you hear the great news?  Smith's is "Rounding Up" coupons again!  That means that any coupon under $1 will be "rounded up" to $1!  This has been happening almost once per month lately!  Let's hope it's a new trend!  So there will be many items that you can get at a great discount starting August 24th.  Here are a few printable coupons that go great with this event.  Print them right away because they might reach their print limit if you wait.  And also remember that you can hit the "back" button and usually print each twice per computer.
Pillsbury Crescent Rolls $.30/2 = $1.00/2!!!
Mentos Gum $.55/1 becomes $1.00/1
Challenge Butter $.55/1 becomes $1.00/1
Cocoa Puffs $.55/1 becomes $1.00/1

Make sure and check out the HUGE group of printables here and especially print the lower-value ones for items that are typically inexpensive.  You'll come out ahead for sure!  And I'll see you at Smith's this week!

Smith's is the Place Tomorrow!

If you want to get some great deals this week, Smith's should be on your short list of stores!  I'm going to work on more details tomorrow (I have to get to bed!!!), but I wanted to give you fellow night owls (and early birds) a heads up.  Thanks to another great Utah-based savings blog, I found a very helpful list of sale items that include links for printables.  That means even if you just started couponing today, you can still take advantage of the great sale!  Check out the list here, and a HUGE THANKS to Joani at Coupons4Utah

And just to get you all worked up (when you need to go to bed too), how about starting off with Kraft 12 oz. Singles (16 pack, I think) for only $.29???  Yep, you read that right!  Now is a great time to stock up!  It freezes great if you let it thaw in the fridge before using.  Here's how you get the deal:
1.  Check out the area around the cheese and lunchmeat at your Smith's.  I've seen $1/2 coupons for Kraft singles all over that area at several different Smith's.  Grab a couple (at least two for this deal).
2.  Get FIVE packages of cheese (priced at $1.79 each).  The coupon makes them $1.29 each.
3.  Receive your catalina coupon good for $5 off your next store purchase at checkout!  That means you spend $6.45 and get back $5!

***Grand total:  $1.45 for FIVE packages of Kraft Singles!
Cheese slices are not something I can stomach in generic, so I'm so glad to get the good stuff for almost free!

Free Mentos Gum at Smith's!

If you got the Sunday newspaper yesterday, get out those Mentos coupons!  If you didn't get the paper, see if you can round some up!  You can even buy coupons--my favorite vendor is My Coupon Hunter.  You can buy them for around $.12 each.  The coupons were for $1 off two bottles of gum.  Well, great news!  If you get your hands on some of those coupons (and there were two in each paper for a total of four gum bottles), you can get free gum this week at Smith's (and next week too, supposedly)!  The Mentos 12-piece bottles are part of the Mega Sale, and when you buy 10, they are only $.50 each.  Use your $1/2 coupons, and they are FREE!  I went to the Smith's on 90th just west of Bangerter today, and they had tons!
