RC Willey DVDs for $5 This Weekend Only!

RC Willey is offering a great deal during their July 4th holiday sale through Monday, July 5th!  You can purchase one of three DVDs for only $5!   Choose from Angels and Demons, The Time Traveler's Wife, or The Tooth Fairy.

There's no additional purchase required, and you can buy online and pick up in the store.  If you need the email ad, let me know, and I'll be happy to email it to you!  Then you can take that to Walmart for a possible price match opportunity!  Your success may vary there, as each Walmart tends to handle the RC Willey ads on a case-by-case basis.  I've been able to score AMAZING movie deals with the ads at our local Walmart store.

Best Price Match Options for the Week

Each week I plan to share a list of the best stock-up prices in town. (Items with an "*" are a really great deal.) These are often items for which coupons are not available, but you can get a great deal without even having a coupon. You can either go to each individual store or price match at Walmart or Super Target with your ad. (I always recommend taking your ads just in case!)  Sales run through Tuesday for all local major retailers except for Winco which ends on Sunday and Reams which ends on Monday.  Keep in mind that Winco normally has a limit for their amazing sale items. Check with your Walmart to see about restrictions. Here are my picks for this week:

Free Aquarium Memberships at MACU!

Chances are that you probably love to take the kiddos to do fun things around town, but the cost often puts a damper on what activities you choose. I know for me it does! That's why I'm so excited to tell you about a great deal currently available at Mountain America Credit Union for Salt Lake County residents! Right now, when you open a savings account for a child (minimum $25 deposit), you'll get not one, but two free annual passes to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy, Utah! You will get one child and one adult pass per account! We rushed down and opened an account for each of our four kids, and now we all have free annual passes! I've wanted to get a savings account opened for them for quite some time, so this was a great reason to do it! Head down to Mountain America Credit Union (you only need to be a Salt Lake County resident to qualify to open an account), and you'll be able to take advantage of this deal! It's only for a limited time, so take advantage of this "So Simple to Save" opportunity today!

***A few other fun details:
*Each of our kids received their own free piggy bank!
*Child savings accounts come with other perks, including a free gift as they reach each $100 in their accounts! We've started giving our kids coin-based allowances so they can fill up their banks and take them in. What a great way for them to learn about money!
*The Riverton branch had a coin counting machine right in the lobby so the kiddos can empty their piggy banks to see how much they have earned!

Let the Deals Begin!

Welcome to "So Simple to Save!" After several months of contemplation, I've finally decided to take the plunge into the Blogosphere! For the past 18 months, I have learned to save our family so much money on everything imaginable--from groceries and toiletries to vacations to Disneyland--so it's about time that I share that information to benefit others. I've enjoyed helping friends and family learn how to save on a smaller scale, but now I want to really get the word out on how to save time and money to simplify life. My goal is not to simply copy and paste information from other blogs (although sometimes that will be very helpful) but to bring you new, fresh ideas and deals that are easy to implement.  So once again, welcome to "So Simple to Save!" This blog is for anyone interested in improving their lifestyle by saving money on many everyday (and not-so-everyday) things.

I'm happy to receive your comments and suggestions, so please don't hesitate to contact me! Over the next few days and weeks, I'll be updating the site with more frills, including Facebook and Twitter groups.  I'll also be adding basic information on couponing and saving money in general.  So check back often.  And please feel free to become a "follower" and tell your friends and family about this new option for learning how to save money.  We'll have some fun contests in the near future for those who tune in!  I can't wait to show you how it really is "So Simple to Save!"
